980/1550nm 1X2 Isolator Hybrid IWDM or Isolator Hybrid IGFF
The 1X2 wavelength division multiplexer and isolator hybrid device (1X2 IWDM) can be used in EDFA with high isolation requirements, which can not only ensure the optical isolation to meet the requirements, but also reduce the size of the entire EDFA module. Pump light can also be injected into an Erbium-doped fiber (EDF) from port 2 of the fiber to act as an optical amplifier.
IGFF combines an optical isolator with a gain flattening filter (GFF) to create a device that does both and can be scaled down. The optical isolator functions as described above to block reverse optical input. A filter can be added behind the optical isolator core. When the film is plated on the filter, the transmission spectrum is just complementary to the transmission spectrum gain of the isolator core, that is, it plays the role of gain flattening. This optical passive hybrid device, mainly used in EDFA and Raman amplifiers, has small size, accurate gain distribution matching, optical path non-adhesive and ROHS standard compatibility.
