CWDM supports up to 18 wavelength channels transmitted through a fiber at the same time. To achieve this, the different wavelengths of each channel are 20nm apart. DWDM, supports up to 80 simultaneous wavelength channels, with each of the channels only 0.8nm apart. CWDM technology offers a convenient and cost-efficient solution for shorter distances of up to 70 kilometers. For distances between 40 and 70 kilometers, CWDM tends to be limited to supporting eight channels.
ORTE's CCWDM, Based on thin-film filter, uses free space technology to fabricate and transmit optical signals by using an independent sealed space., which is much smaller in size than standard CWDM and lower lower insertion loss and better consistency.
The Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer series is designed and manufactured to Telcordia standard and ITU standard.The devices use environmentally stable thin film filter and advanced packaging technology to achieve wide passband,low insertion loss,high channel isolation and excellent environmental stability.They can be used to perform single channel add or drop function or can be cascaded into sequence for multi-channel applications in DWDM systems.
Fiber collimator is made of the tail fiber and the lens precisely positioning. Fiber collimatorcan transform the transmitted light in the optical fiber into collimating light (parallel light), or coupling the external parallel (approximately parallel) light into the single-mode optical fiber.
